How to Remove and Reduce Facial Scars

Scars on our body, especially on our face, can be a bit embarrassing at times. Most of the time, they appear because of acne breakouts, cuts, and even wounds that we didn’t take care of immediately. These facial scars may also be due to aging when the skin cannot easily heal itself hence blemishes remain. Although topical creams and ointments can help out, it is always a good idea to start with natural remedy first so there is less risk of making your skin issues worse. Here are a few suggestions that you should try out.

1. Aloe Vera

One of the best remedies that you can use to reduce and remove facial scars is aloe vera. The leaf of this plant contains gel that, when blended, can give you that smooth paste that can actually help boost the healing process of your skin.

  1. You should start with harvesting the gel of the plant first then blend it to get a smooth paste.
  2. Wash your face afterwards to remove any dirt, sweat, or oil on it then apply the aloe vera gel on the affected areas.
  3. Leave it on so your skin will absorb it.

2. Coconut Oil

You should also include coconut oil in your list of natural remedies that can help you deal with the scars on your face. This is because coconut oil is a known anti-inflammatory and analgesic product that you can use on any skin issue that you may be having. It doesn’t matter whether you have dermatitis, acne, psoriasis, or even eczema because this oil can help treat them easily. What’s more, coconut oil can protect your skin against scar formation during healing time and can make them fade soon enough.

3. Rosehip Seed Oil

Another natural remedy that can help combat the scars on your face is rosehip seed oil. Combining this oil with another type of essential oil, like frankincense, can help you create an anti-aging facial solution that will also help in banishing the scars on your face. What’s great about rosehip seed oil is that it is rich in fatty acids that can nourish dehydrated skin. This oil is considered as a dry oil that is easily absorbed into the skin.

4. Baking Soda

  3. Massage the paste on the scars for two to three minutes then leave it on for five minutes.
  4. Wash it off afterwards.

5. Apple Cider Vinegar

What else can you use to fight the scars that mar your beautiful skin? How about apple cider vinegar? This is a natural remedy that can help bring back that smooth and flawless skin you’ve always wanted.
