Gelatin Face Mask For Super Soft Skin

Did you know that your skin is the body’s largest organ? That means ANYTHING you put on your skin is absorbed into your system, so it is important you only use healthy products for your body. Right? Right! Which is why I am posting this Honey and Tea Tree Oil Face Peel. Ahh, it is so easy to make! AND it will make your skin feel ah-mazing, as in super soft, smooth and clear. I think it works really great on my skin, which is normal to dry. I don’t usually get pimples, but if I do, this mask helps clear it up – pronto!

Ingredients you will need:

If you can use organic ingredients, that is always best, but if not, don’t worry about it! This will still be healthier than the chemical-filled face lotions and masks you can buy commercially.

How to mix the ingredients:

  1. Empty one packet of gelatin into the cup (one packet is around one big tablespoon of gelatin).
  2. Add one tablespoon of honey.
  3. Add 5-8 drops of tea tree oil (depending on how strong you want the mask to be).
  4. Add one tablespoon of milk.
  5. I use a fork to stir the mixture until it forms a chunky consistency.

How to use the mixture:

  1. Microwave the mixture (without the fork of course!) for 10 seconds (not any longer!) Heating the mixture up will soften it and make it more creamy, perfect to apply to the face.
  2. Touch the mixture and make sure it isn’t too hot to the touch, because the face is sensitive to heat.
  3. Quickly apply the cream ALL over your face – it begins to harden right away, so time is of the essence!
  4. make sure you avoid your hairline and eyebrows. This peel will actually take off some of the peach fuzz on your face (which is a good thing!).
  5. Let the peel dry for about 20 to 25 minutes. It will start to harden which makes it hard to laugh.

It can be a little painful to take the mask off, just to warn you, especially around the cheek area and nose. The mask sucks out everything from your pores and it also peels away some of that peach fuzz, which can sting just a little. I’m a big baby, so I go really really slow. You decide what you wanna do!

Once you peel off all of the mask, wash your face with a gentle cleanser to remove any leftover bits you missed.

Your skin will feel soft, smooth and rejuvenated!
